The Hotel School website is powered and hosted by Square Space. The site uses standard Square Space services to collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the site, for example the number of users viewing pages on the site and how long they spend on a given page. We do this to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site and help us improve it.


Contact us form

Information submitted by our general contact form will be sent to Hotel School staff by email. Data sent here only receives basic email protections, and as such you should not submit sensitive personal data through it. Instead outline the general details of your request and a member of staff will respond or direct you to someone who can help.


People who email us

Any email sent to us, including attachments, may be monitored and used by us for reasons of security and monitoring compliance with office policy.


Supporters and donors

We value every contribution, so thank you. Any details you share with us will be used by Hotel School only.

In the process of making a donation and/or making an enquiry to Hotel School, you provide us with personal information. This may include your name and address, your contact details and if relevant, your credit card or other payment details.

When you supply information to us, we are legally obliged by the Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure that the information you have provided is only used for the purpose for which it was supplied, and to ensure that the data is kept securely.


How your information helps us to achieve more

At Hotel School, we use your information to provide you with the services, products or information you have requested, for administration purposes and to further our charitable aims, including fundraising activities. We may also analyse the personal information we have on our database and, on occasion, collect publicly available information, to contact you in the most appropriate way, with the most relevant information.

There are times when we make your information available to third parties who are acting on our behalf, in order for us to fulfil your communication preferences. To protect your information, we ensure we have third party agreements in place with all suppliers who process data as well as a robust procurement process, including reference checking. Our suppliers cannot use your information except for the agreed piece of work commissioned by Hotel School.  They cannot give, sell or rent your information to others for any marketing purposes and they are required to protect your information to the same degree that we do.

When you give Hotel School personal information, we do all we can to ensure that it is treated securely. Any credit card details we receive through our website are passed securely to our partners who are compliant with Payment Card Industry Security Standards to fulfil and process your donation. If required to do so by any applicable law, Hotel School may need to disclose some or all of your personal information to the level to which we are legally required to comply.
